Key Considerations by Space
High-moisture (bathrooms, laundry, basements): Porcelain tile or LVP only. Solid hardwood and laminate will fail.
Living areas and bedrooms: All options viable. Hardwood adds resale value; LVP offers the best durability-to-cost ratio.
Kitchen: LVP or tile. Hardwood can work but requires immediate spill cleanup.
Commercial/heavy-traffic: Porcelain tile or LVP rated 3,000 psi or higher.
Acclimation: Solid and engineered hardwood must acclimate at the installation site for 3 - 5 days before installation. LVP and laminate typically need 48 hours.
